Artist Mark Carter studied art at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio and received a B.F.A. in painting, in 1989. He moved to New Orleans in 1990 and had a one man show at the Gibbs gallery. In 1995 he was living in Asheville, N.C. and had a one man show at the Galax gallery. He has collectors worldwide who value his paintings, sculpture and detailed collages that any fine arts collector would appreciate. He now resides back in his home state of North Carolina just outside Brevard.
"I have been concentrating recently on a series of work dealing with the duality of the human experience and creating a new symbolic myth structure to handle our rapidly changing world out of balance."
